Great family fun
We had a great vacation at the chain lakes campground. We camped with our small trailer in loop c, and the view was fantastic. No hookups in this site. The kids rode their bikes, went fishing, played in the lake and the playground, and We also took a trip to the Bar U ranch (18min north) and had a great time. We stayed 3 nights, and even though all the sites were full, the campground was extremely quiet and peaceful. The grounds were kept very clean. Unfortunately, due to fire bans, we weren't allowed to use the group fire pit. The only negative I can think of, is the sanidump stations road on the right side (facing south) is tilted away from the drain, meaning our sewer outlet is pointing up slightly. This meant that we did not get our black and grey tanks emptied lower than 2/3rds. We had 2 others waiting behind us, otherwise we should have leveled the trailer with blocks before dumping on that side.
Really picturesque campground, but the proximity to the lake is quite far, which is too bad. Fires are not permitted in the individual sites EVER. Not even the portable propane fire pits! That was a real bummer. They have communal fire pits you can walk over to (provided there are no bans in place) but its not the same...
Very nice place. Out the city limits. A great camping spots. Especially for kids. There is a massive kids play area. For adults if you love fishing, then you must to visit this place. They have water arrangements and toilet facility here. A great place to go away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you are lucky like us you can get to see wild life as well. They have RV spots as well with power and dump facility.
